Sushi Maven Tempura Flour Batter Mix - is a popular Japanese dish that have been battered and deep fried. Tempura batter is traditionally mixed in small batches for only a few seconds, leaving lumps in the mixture that result in the unique fluffy and crisp tempura structure when cooked. Over-mixing the batter will result in activation of wheat gluten, which causes the flour mixture to become chewy and dough-like when fried.

To Prepare The Batter Mix:
1) Pour a bit less that 1 cup (225ml) of chilled water into a mixing bowl.
2)Add 2 cup (150g) of Sushi Maven tempura batter mix and stir briefly. (Recommended water ratio to the volume of the batter mix is about 1½:1)
